StageOne Sound provides full facilities for filmmakers in a purpose-built, client-centred postproduction environment - self-sufficient, but fully integrated with Atlab's laboratory facilities as well as EFILM Australia. Filmmakers can go from the Digital Intermediate suite to StageOne Sound, and see the same images. The mixing desk is a fully digital Neve DFC console, with over 400 digital input channels and 72 faders. It will be the largest and most advanced console in Australia. The theatre itself is over 1500 cubic metres in size, with a 10 metre wide screen. It is equipped with a Barco 2K digital projector, with inputs ranging from HD to Quicktime, as well as a pair of 35mm Kinoton dubbing projectors allowing filmmakers the opportunity to preview their productions on a large screen in any format including full specification D-Cinema. It has been awarded Dolby Premier accreditation: the seal of approval for sound quality. The theatre is complemented
by seven sound edit rooms available for dry hire, and a number of Producers'
offices and meeting rooms as well as creature comforts - kitchen, cafeteria
and a relaxation area. |
